Long post. I'm sorry...
After months of going back and forth divorce/no divorce, last week I told my husband that I had had enough and was going to stay in the guest bedroom area downstairs. He angrily told me that I couldn't because he had just "rented" the room out. I'm like What!!! He proceeds to tell me that a buddy of his (that I know) has been hired by my husband's company, and he starts on Monday. He needs somewhere to crash until he finds a more permanent place to stay. I was furious but then felt guilty because he is a really nice guy who lives out of state. So I say to my husband "How many days...two, three,four?" He said possibly indefinitely Mon-Fri until his probationary period is over. I thought I was going to explode! We are not very social people and never have guests over. My sister and her family come for a weekend maybe one or twice a year (all of my family live out of state). That's just the way we are. Anyway, I told him that I did not feel his friend needed to be in the house under the circumstances that we are in currently(more than likely papers are about to be filed). My husband has now told him that I said no, but his friend probably has no idea why. Now I am the "bad guy." I feel like his friend at least needs an explanation. I would have been willing to let him stay a few weeks, but right now it would be an awkward situation for all of us. The ultimate question is...should I explain to his friend why? I am so angry at my husband right now for putting me in this predicament.

I am sure the conversation went,,,there shouldn't be a problem, but let me ask her first. He knows better but in the heat of the conversation it was one way for him to try to keep me from moving downstairs. In regard to the marriage he doesn't know what he wants and tells me that.
Also, I am out of town for three days so I am fearful he lets the friend stay a couple of nights. OMG I would be furious because I would have to spend a day washing the bedding. I refuse to sleep after him. That just grosses me out!
That may be a reason to tell the friend to stay away.
