I know I have probably outstayed my welcome here and I feel really bad asking for help. I just have been having a hard time with the Holidays and then just twenty minutes ago... I went to get something out of office managers printer and when I walked in the office, there was my ex sitting at the desk. I was absolutely speechless and felt like running. I havent seen her in 3 to 4 months and I was mortified. I got my paper, said "Hi Cory" and continued to walk back to my office. As I was heading back, I stopped in a spare office to tell my son to get ready to head home and I'll be damned if he wasn't playing on the computer with Matthew... Cory's little boy who I love with all my heart! MORTIFIED X 2!!!!!
I gave him a high five and he came up to me and gave me a huge hug! I told him I love him and miss him and joked with him for a minute and I came back here to my desk in a full blown panic!
I knew the day would come where I would be forced to see them but it caught me off guard completely. I wish I could explain just how upsetting this is to me. I am scared to death right now because it brought all kiinds of feelings back!
Please tell me I did the right thing by acting the way I did and pray that I heal quickly from the loss that I am feeling deep in my heart. I actually feel hate and love at the same time if that sounds possible. I and angry and empty, stronger and yet still afraid.
I always have images of them being in love and after all they hgave done to me I want to throw up....
I guess I am venting again.... Just hope someone can tell me its going to be ok and once again... I am not alone.!

Anyway, it is normal to feel both love and hate, although the hate will hopefully subside soon and be replaced with tolerance and acceptance of the situation.

And you did just fine with those unexpected encounters.
You will get through this and one day end up with a woman who loves and appreciates you. Just know that. There are women out there who would give their eyeteeth for a man such as yourself. Stay strong.
The one thing to be said about this DS family is - you will never be judged. You will only be guided and comforted.
With that said - I have to stand up and applaud you for how you treated the situation. If if were me, I would have yelled and screamed and become a "banchy woman". Just yesterday I told my husband that he has no right barging into my house and that he can stay in his truck when picking up and dropping off our daughter. Then this mornig I added - no more verbal conversations, texting only. Because it hurts too much to hear his voice.
Never feel as tho you are a burden. We all have good and bad days. Sometimes when your having a bad day - you'll get on here and read someones comment and realize that your day ain't so bad after all. Then your day becomes a good day because you offered some warm hearted words of encouragement to someone who was really down.
DS is your family - remember that.
