On the weekend I signed up on a dating site..it was a fricken disaster. All it showed me was those emotions can flood you at an instant. I finally started hitting it off with one guy - and his name was the same as my ex. WTF...

Jim, please realize that you handled this beautifully and right now, you are still hurting. These moments are going to be tough but each time it happens, it will get easier.
And you are not wearing out your welcome. That's what this site is for--venting to those who have walked this journey before you.
Sending hugs!!! Stay strong.

He is obviously a sweet, loving kid and she feels it is ok to stop out of the blue un-announced, to squeeze your emotions one more time.
I am so sorry you have this difficult spot to deal with.
I hope and pray you can find some peace again tonight. Breathe really deep to find some calm. I am so sorry this happened, especially right now before Christmas.
A very big ((hug))
Years ago before I married I had the unfortunate circumstance to continue to work with one of my exes after a break up. I also got to watch as he started flirting with my co-worker then subsequently started to date her. I was mortified.
One night when it was rather painful to watch, I left work to go call a friend in my distress. She just talked to me and told me that it was no biggie and I would soon be over him. She was right. He was a jerk for the way he acted and and a few months later I was over him.
You will get over her; you will move past this. It's going to take some time, but it will happen. Since this was the first time you saw her since the split it's going to feel like you were punched in the gut. BUT! That was the worst of it I'm sure. From now on, things like this will hit you with less intensity than that first time. You'll grow accustomed to that uncomfortable feeling and eventually you won't feel the discomfort anymore at the mention of her name or when you happen to run into her.
BTW, that was really low of her to show up there. She knows how you felt about her and what happened with your friend. What a rotten thing to do to you. Speaks volumes about her lack of character and sensitivity in regard to how her actions affect others. Given what she did to you in the break up, I guess I shouldn't be surprised.
