I think the worst is over for us now, a year post-divorce. We are civil and altho I'm cautious of any drama brewing behind the scenes, I think we might be friends if he is sincere in his efforts.
The best revenge I used to dream up was him realizing he lost the best thing ever to happen to him, but now that he is expressing this, I don't feel anything at all, not good nor bad for him. Maybe that is the best revenge.
Anyway just want to wish everyone here who is going through the highs and lows of a breakup much luck. There is hope that it will work out for the best in the end.

I have not been a member of this site for long, but I love it! I truly find a little comfort in stories like yours.
Sounds like you have been a brave one. I truly believe the best revenge is your genuine smile when you see him. . .letting him know you are happy and satisfied without him.
I am sure that man who will appreciate you is out there. . . if you haven't already found him. : )
Right now, I am going through a break up that keeps me from eating, sleeping and even concentrating. I hope that someday, I can feel neutral like you.
