It's crazy how time can heal a broken heart. my ex girlfriend of 7 years broke up with me this July and it seemed like everything was falling apart for me. Almost 3 months have gone by and when I find myself thinking about her, I no longer feel excruciatingly upset. I do miss her company but something clicked in my head a few days ago that I was wasting my time feeling depressed when I'm sure she is not phased by it anymore. Maybe this won't make sense but the only thing that makes me sad is the fact that I am moving on. I feel sad that I have come to this realization and that I am letting go. Is this a normal part of the healing? If so, damn. It is so confusing. I have surrounded myself with friends and have gone out to social events and parties and I actually started to learn a lot more about myself. I have met so many wonderful people and I wish I could thank all of them for being there for me when I needed them most. The only thing left for me to do is to pack my bags and start a new life in Boston. I am leaving next Friday. I am beyond exited.

The life that exist after a break up is usually life affirming..after the initial pain. You don't die..and mostly..if you handle yourself well ..you usually thrive and move to a newfound you! It's great!

some say life is full of lessons and when one take the time to learn them properly (self examination on how one lived so far etc..) and use it as a reference when making decision in future will lead to better life as better choice are made.
EXACTLY!!! I think if u use your failed relationship as a learning tool it's a valuable resource. Where did it fail? Why? Remember this when you start a new one. Some relationships just are meant to be over but learn where it derailed and use that knowledge :)
