I just had a look at bachelor life today when I moved some stuff in a friend's house (I am staying there when I am working in Culpeper). To be totally honest with you guys.....It scared the living crap out of me!!! The walls are bare except for the white paint. There is barely anything in his house and he has live there for 6 months. The kitchen barely has any pots, pans, or anything in the way of cooking ware. It is SCARY!!

Okay...I really admit that I miss a woman's touch in my life. I always took my wife's decorating for granted but I miss it now!! I don't miss the way that she treated me. Holy crap, I don't remember my bachelor pads looking like that, at least I had some stuff on the walls (they were guy things but still had stuff on there).

I guess that I can't complain because it is a place to stay but my boat is decorated much nicer than the house is (I think that I have more items on my bulkhead in the boat than he has on all the walls of his house).

Just thought that I would share this with you guys!

So put some stuff on the walls! Paint the walls a different color-lol!!

I totally understand what you mean--that's how my stepmom decorated her house--plain white walls and nothing on them. To this day, I can't stand looking at white walls. You have my sympathy.

Even bachelors can decorate. LOL. If you like stuff on the walls, or lots of dishes and stuff why not just do that. ;)

No kidding....I am domesticated. I appreciate decorating a heck of a lot more now. I guess I miss seeing a woman's touch!

I can understand your anxiety over this. I'm an art lover. When I moved into my new condo I couldn't wait for the movers to get my stuff here! To me home isn't necessarily where you hang your hat..but where you hang the paintings!

You miss a "womans tougch" just like I sorta miss a "man's touch" and no I don't mean that literally. I miss my truck being fixed (oil change etc), and I miss fixing stuff.


Hey, you'll see the "womans touch" again someday.

I'm just the opposite. I can't wait to get rid of a man's touch. My stbx, who by the way won't leave, is like a bull in a china shop. Breaks everything nice I ever had and never tries to fix it. I still have a broken towel rack in my bathroom and he just broke my favorite cake plate. All I have to do is open my eyes and I can see something in every room that he broke over the last 11 years and never bothered to fix. I am always the one who ends up fixing everything. I won't do it anymore, until he actually leaves or else it will probably just get broke again.
