Keep in mind thet you may enjoy the freedom of beeing on your own, or maybe someday you will find someone that will aknowledge that you are a person too, with feelings and needs also.

Dump the one with wonderlust. Its not your job to try to control it. Shes gone now.

Sorry can only say that it gets easier to accept over time. It has been 9 weeks since I have seen my kids and some days you just don't want to get up. You just have to fill the void and remember that one day in the future they are going to leave home so in some small way this could be a chance to start living for yourself. But try not to feel guilty about having a good time without your children. You are allowed to think of yourself sometimes

Hi Tony and welcome, I am sorry that you have to be here with us, but I think you will find the support you need to be strong during this change in your path. It feels good to have days like this and I always say to remember them for when we have a bad day , so that we can find our way back. You are controlling the things you can and that is a positive step in the right direction. Keep doing that and your healing will go more smoothly.. Remember to eat, sleep, and add some exercise for you to help you sleep and feel better.. This is a thread that one of the members started to help the new people learn from all the things that we do to make it through these early days,,. I am hoping that it helps you in some way.. That hurts. No question. Moving on is the hard part. You have to worry about right now. i think a lot of those feelings of loneliness stem from long term thought. Live in the now and occupy your mind. If you think about being lonely, and those days in the future of just yourself, you will drive yourself mad. there is nothing wrong with feeling alone in the present. it isn't easy, but it is natural. try not to overwhelm yourself with thoughts of what will happen in the future. it won't make it any easier. be in the moment. when you have those feelings, either find a friend you can talk to, vent your feelings on this site or try to occupy your mind with something else. i know i share those same thoughts, but when i am able to do something else, it makes it easier. at least for a little while. there is a cycle to dealing with loss and loneliness is a huge part of it. it is tough to overcome. i know i haven't, but when i think about now and not focus on a month or year from now, it is much easier to deal with.
hang in there. know that you aren't alone. give yourself a break. it is the only way. if you don't allow your mind to relax and get away, it will be much harder. my thoughts and prayers are with you. hang in there!

Sorry you have to be here but welcome.This is a rollercoaster ride so my advice is to buckle up and keep all hands and feet inside the ride until it comes to a complete stop.
You will find some of the best support here and the ppl on this site are amazing(((hugs)))

I'm so sorry you & your kids are going through this because of her selfishness. Take it for what it is....and take it day by day. It does get easier. You deserve someone that loves you whole heartedly...not part time of when she feels like it. Hang in there Tony. You came to the right place...there's good peeps here to help you through.
