I am going thru the same thing as you. You are not alone. The pain is excruciating I know. Evry day is a battle. Why me? Why her? It is pretty new to me so I cannot give much for advice except you are not alone dear. I did see a Dr yesterday as I cannot handle my emotions and thoughts and have 3 kids to take care of. I will be seeing a therapist and on some anxiety meds. People say one day at a time and this too shall pass. Karma will get him sweetie and one day, as I am wishing too, he will see what he has done. By then I hope we are both strong enough to say screw you and be the stronger one. Hang in there.

My partner suffers from depression and is (i believe) in a major depressive mode. She cannot feel for anyone right now. mostly herself. she doesn't want to face what is likely to be uncovered. I have started attending CoDA, Codependents Anonymous. I feel just like you - that a piece of me has been cut off. I'm learning a lot about why it is so painful for me and what all I bring to the table in terms of expectations and need for validation. It is a painful pill to swallow but trying to get myself to the point of self care. Might I suggest the same for you?

Girrrrrl.... I am in just about the same boat. Except yours is worse (not that this is a competition anyone wants to win). I initiated the breakup, but he moved on INSTANTLY. We haven't even discussed who's moving yet, or to where, and he is in a monogamous relationship with a girl 12 years younger than him (15 years younger than me! Her parents are only 6 years older than me!). I own the house we live in, and he just asked me modify my behavior around my own home because it's a "threat" to his monogamy.

I, too, feel so freaking betrayed. And I also ask myself, don't I at least deserve the respect of not having to host his teenage girlfriend in the home I own (that he does not own, whatsoever, at all). I don't know how to deal with the fact that he's happy. I don't know how to tell you to deal with it either. <3

Why does separation from a spouse hurt so much? It is nothing physical, all mental. Although sometimes the mental anguish becomes physical and can be felt. My wife left me. Secretly set up an apartment and then told me she was moving out. We have an 8 yr old and a 10 yr old. Current and future plans change instantly. Your daily routine changes instantly. I feel sad and lonely all the time. Humans are programmed to be in a union with the opposite sex. After 14 yrs of marriage, this union is destroyed. Often one spouse is not in agreement and not in support of the breakup and that person suffers greatly as a result of their "loved one's actions". If married in the Catholic Church like I was, separation is not an option. My wife has committed a mortal sin and if she was not happy in our marriage, she certainly won't be in a happy place after she dies.

Thank you so very much everyone. Sharing all of this with people who are going through the same is keeping my sanity. Even though the pain is so big, venting and talking about it helps me so much. It feels like I am alone in this, but I see that I am not. So thank you again. All of you being here, your support, words of kindness, is what makes me going. One more day, just one more day...

I'm in a similar situation as well. I have posted this info before so if already know than my apologies in advance. A month ago she packed up and left. A week later posts on FB in relationship and had moved in with guy, less than 3 weeks later talking about marriage. How in the bleep can someone flip off the switch with me then flip switch back on for someone else that quick after 10 years of marriage?
Here is my viewpoint on her "happiness": the guy she is with now she was cheating on me with (not sexually but what's the difference right?) for a month prior. So this guy just went full bore into a relationship with a known cheat. My family, friends, and I as well are making bets on how long she will last with her new thing. Also she has cheated on me two other times, so how long will it take until she does same to this guy?
So Tsveta, after time when the pain starts to subside, and if you get to the point where you find someone that truly deserves you, just think about who will get the last laugh so to speak as I am sure his thing won't last, then he may regret his actions, realize what he lost, and then it will be too late for him.
Try to keep your chin up and remind yourself HE made a mistake and you deserve better

This is hard. YES they are right about time, but two years later it's still hard for me, but not AS hard. You were right to block on social media as you pointed out in response to my other post. The truth is, you don't know what is going on behind his close doors. He is showing you his proud self. Not his true self now. If he left he doesn't want to show the vulnerable parts. You will find your ground. But it hurts so much right now. I know.

Sorry to hear you are hurting so much. To answer your question, you probably didn't do anything to deserve this. Sometimes people just walk away because they aren't in love, or they're searching for something you can't give them, as hard as that is to accept. And yes, he may someday wake up and realize that he lost a great woman. Seize this time as an opportunity to grow as a person, to give yourself love and care on a regular basis, to seek out new hobbies and to create new dreams for yourself and for your future. You clearly deserve a better love than what he can provide.

I know exactly what you mean and feel the pain you have. I am losing the best thing that ever happened to me and the irony is we still love each other....we will all get over this. Just give 'time' some time
