Read the posts throughout this forum. It is full of anguish, desperation, trauma, depression... And through it all runs a common thread of devastating heartbreak. We are all experiencing one of the most painful events in our lives and that is what brings us here in search of support.

Now, take another look through the posts. Know what I see? Comfort, friendship, inspiration and that thing most desired by all of us right now, hope. We are all here for each other, sharing in our pain but also offering what encouragement and support we can. Here you can find wisdom from those who have been in similar situations and emotional states as you. Trust in the encouragement as those who give it did those who offered it to them before. You will make it. As Lostgirl states it will be breath by breath, sometimes, but you will make it.

My advice is to share what you can so we can provide our experiences for you, what hurt us and what helped us as we continue through surviving and eventually overcoming this hellish nightmare. We are here to help, for in doing so, it helps us even more. You will see.

I am sorry you're in pain Brooklyn. When your'e a little more removed from the situation you may appreciate the fresh start you've been givien. You originally broke up with him because you weren't happy. You weren't happy apart. Your recent posts suggest you weren't happy once you got back together either. Maybe you were working too hard to fit a square peg in a round hole. Take this time to rediscover yourself and what ultimately makes you happy.

I don't know why but it is hard to imagine that other people go through this. I feel such a mess. I picture him having a life with someone else (because of course eventually he will and so will I) and it kills me. Literally makes me want to vomit.

Through this website though I am realizing I am not alone. It is helping a little.

I too just want him back to reassure that we will be together until death do us part and have the secure feeling that I had. He just made feel like he could do anything and I wouldn't have to worry about anything. I worry I will never have that security again. I know we have some issues. But I thought the love was there.....I thought....

I'm so sorry you are feeling so so sad. It's so hard when they are so cold. Heartless even. Mine was cruel. We may never understand how soneone who says they love you for so long can just flip a switch and, well, in my case, hate me. Hugs to you. Just take it one day at a time.
