6 months isn't a long time - and you're still grieving which is understandable - but it sounds like you're also at the point where you need to move forward. He didn't break you. No one has the power to break you. Unless you let them. He was just a temporary blip on the radar of your long life....learn the lessons and move forward. and the bad days - are just that - bad days. We all have them. soon they'll be few and fart between....
But not as much now...and really moving forward
It is still difficult
And confusing
But getting better
1 1/2 years post separation
It does feel like it but my counsellor assures me (and logic tells me) that I am not REALLY back at the beginning. There are little bits of progress in every day that you make it through and recovery from any kind of injury, especially a broken heart, is not a straight line, it's a long zigzag.
As for getting through the really bad days, keep on breathing. Listen to a piece of music that is uplifting and doesn't remind you at all of him (and has nothing to do with love!). Treat yourself so gently and, if you have some good support, reach out to them. If you have a pet, hug them.
You're not alone in this pain. I wish you some relief.
He also said when left me that I was an absolute cow.
