old at 17 and he was just messing with your head. he wanted to be more powerful than you. im sorry you're going through this but i promise you'll feel better.
The truth is, as horrible as the pain felt back then, as much as I wanted to give up and call it quits, I wish I knew then what I know now - life DOES get better and this guy will be nothing but a memory to you when you're older.
Please, try to speak to an adult who you trust and love. My cutting cultivated into other issues, and my parents finally caught on. With their support, I was able to deal with my emotions in a healthier way. Best wishes to you.
And I agree with the others posting here. You should speak with an adult(s) about your emotional needs and especially with harming yourself, shannafarren, this matter has to be addressed and cared for with skilled and mature help.
When I was your age, my mother threw my first love out of my life, said that I was too young at age 13. I remained friends with this guy and we grew up in the same neighborhood for several years. He continued to show an interest in me but he was very immature and he drank heavily even before he turned 18 years old, hanging out like a bum on the streets and getting into all kinds of trouble with the police (he once hid in my mother's attic while the police searched the neighborhood for him; he had hit an old lady with a rock on her leg and she called it in, Mama didn't know that he was there but I saw him climb in, sad). Though I began to date at the age of 16 and there were many other guys which came into my life and there were split-ups for many reasons, but none were as serious enough for me to consider self-harming, and I hope that you will be careful with that.
Later, at the time I met my future husband, I was not looking for love by any means. I wanted to try and tough it out without keeping up a serious relationship. Yet he was very ambitious and he encouraged me to find my own educational goals; he was much more interesting and smarter than any guy I'd ever met before; better looking too! So I figured that I'd met a perfect match and we spent lots of time together enjoying our company, sharing common ideas and setting good goals for our future. We fell deeply in love (pure love) married and we now have a happy family life together.
As I think back, seriously, I now figure that it was NOT real, pure love with the first dude, just a young & childish & foolish crush (short attraction) which I had on this first guy. But the most important thing to tell is that he also married about a year after I did and divorced early on in the marriage and after having several kids with a very sweet young lady. However, he was a wife abusing husband, very poor father (neglected his children: I once heard that he was reusing sun-dried disposable diapers on one little baby's bottom, sad news), stayed alcoholic & lived on strong street drugs and could never hold-down a job for a very long course of time. Now he lives on the street as homeless. See what I mean? If Austin is already messing with your head and causing you to cut, then, in the present case, possibly he is not "Mr. Right" after all.
Please stay well!

He's not worth your death.
You're thirteen. Don't throw your life away on some diseased mongrel. Trust me, there are plenty more where he came from.
