I didn't know who to ask and hoping someone will have some ideas or suggestions for me. I fell yesterday on icy steps and hurt my back again. I fell on the same steps a year ago December. I have herniated and buldgint discs. I am still in pain from last fall and taking Darvocet daily. The fall yesterday hit the same area..lower back, middle and this time the upper. There is a instense burning in the upper back and I don't know what that is. My neck also hurts but hoping that will ease with the ice and heat treatment.
I am debating going to doctor, only problem is that the fall took place at ex house. The first thing he said to me is I suppose you are going to sue me. I hadn't planned on it. I was there doing him a favor as usual and this is the thanks I get. He said thanks for ruining my day. What about mine? He told me to go live with my mother in her basement apartment and we could hold each other up. What is that all about? How can he be so cruel? Sorry I really just wandered if I should go to doctor and have upper spine checked out or is it just the bruising that is causing the burning fealing. Any ideas or suggestions would be helpful. I am using the heat, ice treatment. I guess I could put a claim against his home insurance. I am sure that will make him very happy (not).

Realize going into this that the following behaviour is going to occur though:
IF you put a claim against the insurance company, he is going to whine and cajole and wheedle his way to get OUT of this.
There is no need to let him know. And stay the HELL away from him! Being a good Christian versus being an indentured servent? Would you let your friend do the same thing that you do?? NO. You would not.
My kids have bailed (which means I don't get to see the grandkids), I don't have any siblings or cousins, etc. Yes....I am completely alone and have learned to actually enjoy my own company. OH, and my parents are elderly and live 700 miles away.
I do not miss the drama and chaos that my stbx, his family and our kids created. I love school and rebuilding my life in a positive manner.
I know you are a very caring and loving woman.....for everyone else but yourself. It is sad to see that being a christan has confused your decision of being caring to a doormat for abuse. Of course that would make you depressed and unhappy with your life.....it would for anyone. Life is full of decisions and free choice....God gave us brains (no one is exzempt, ppl just choose to use it or not) and bodies to carry our spirit and brain in. God also stated that "God helps those who help themselves."
If you could seek counseling (there are ones through your county that are free or work within your budget.....my daughter saw one for $5 a session) I think it would be helpful for your situation. Plz stand up for yourself, cuz no one else will do it for you.
Hope you feel better and take it as a sign that helping your ex only hurts you physically and mentally every time! (((((((((((((((Hugs)))))))))))))))....love ya ;)
