chiropractor ??? that's all I got
Your ex - he's the same as alway ... ungrateful, rude, uncaring, & assumes the worst out of life.
I say if you can't afford the doctor appointment, then definitely turn it in to his homeowners. Honestly, that's not an unreasonable thing to do. After all, it was at his residence while you were HELPING him.
Good Luck & I hope the pain subsides quickly.
I still do not know why you are doing favors for him at all.
As far as you having no one, well, that statement there tells me that you are not happy with yourself, because if you were, you wouldn't mind being alone. Hell, you haven't even been divorced that long. My parents have been divorced 13 years, and neither have remarried, yet both lead fulfilling lives.
You live the life you choose to live. So, stop making stupid choices, and stop doing favors for him. The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result.
Are you really expecting different reactions now?
I think your ex emotionally abused you to the point that you do not know anything different, and you should seek professional mental help.
It's fine to do him a favor, but it's hopeless to hope to ever please him. If you think it's the Christian thing to do...then fine. I'm assuming that you've prayed about it and the message you've gotten is that it's pleasing God. If you don't think that it is doing that....then helping him probably isn't the Christian thing to do.
You MUST be pleasing the people at work enough for them to keep paying you!
And no, I wouldn't expect him to call to check on you. I wouldn't expect him to show up at your funeral. I wouldn't expect him to help you in any way. From what you said about his epileptic attacks, he probably has brain damage. And he wasn't nice to begin with.
So, as I see it, the facts are this: You have a pre-existing back injury that you are being treated for. You fell and may have done more damage and/or exacerbated the condition. You are in pain and concerned for your health.
What would you tell a friend that told you the above information? Would you tell her to seek medical advice/treatment ASAP? I am going to assume the answer is yes... then that's EXACTLY what you should do! Right now, the circumstances around the fall and the homeowners insurance and the ex and all that other stuff that you're allowing to cloud your thinking don't mean ANYTHING compared to your health.
Please - TAKE CARE OF YOU... FIRST!
