Why not give her the benefit of the doubt instead of using this to work out whatever issues you have with the overuse of the term?
I lived with a man with this addiction for several years. It would have been one thing if he viewed it but when addiction takes over and it rules your entire life and cuts your partner out of it,that i something very different. Until you have lived with the addict and seen and felt all of the ramifications then I dont know what to say.
I lost so much (and so did he) from this addiction. Finances were affected (at one time he was spending hundereds of dollards a month), he literally was trying to get meout of the house all of the time to feed his addiction. Would come up with things he suddenly needed at midnight so that I would go to the store for him, was "interacting"with others online and in person, and even stooped as low as locking my son in his room so he could webcam with one of his lady "friends" and even watched that shit in front of my 5 yr old.
If those arent reasons (along with the other addctions I had to deal with) for ending the marriage, then I dont know what is. And I wont even go into what this does to the affected person in regards to self esteem and what not.
This is a real and very serious addiction. The recovery rate is less than that for an alcoholic. Im sorry for your pain..I know it all too well.
