I am 5'7" & when we met I was 17st8lb - she is only 5'0" but boy she is stunning & not just in looks, personality too. She gave me my mojo back! 7mths later we are not together now but we have both gained such a good friend in each other & I am now 13st7lb!!
She has given me the confidence to go with the flow & speak my mind - if people don't like it, then that's up to them but the people that like what they hear are the ones that will be interested.
first, file for divorce and be rid of her completely if you can.
guy things. man things. man friends. do those things even if you don't feel like it. those things reconnect us with our most masculine sides and are really good for us. do them for long enough and you will start feeling like you again.
just forget about women right now. you should focus on getting back up to full strength again.
just stay away from women and do stuff that guys do with other guys for quite a while until you know what you want in this new life of yours.
Funny thing is, my STBX met him first at the park and we have been bringing our kids there for a couple of years for play dates.. Since this all started to happen he has become a very important person in my life..
I have almost made some really bad decisions about new relationships already, just to try to get that confidence back..
But I know it's not right it feels really wrong and I don;t want to live like that anymore... I would still work on things with her if I could but that looks very unlikely.. So for now I have friends and some drugs that are helping me cope.
I hope you find what helps you and do it.. do the best you can..
Peace
I am thinking about online dating and maybe that will help although am not thrilled about selling myself on a website. Seems very impersonal. And I am not necessarily looking for dates...more for a friend and companion until I get my own act together a little more. I have also looked at getting involved in some local classes and community groups, so I can meet more people and also accomplish something...maybe.
Talk to the ladies you see alone. I would love to have someone start up a conversation with me in that situation!
I really want to thank all of you for your honest opinions and ideas. I just wish we could all meet up and hang out somewhere and have real conversations!!!!!! I dont think I could ever do the on line dating thing. I dont photograph well LMAO!!!!!!
As far as your old friends, you never know--some of them might want to reconnect now, knowing that your wife is out of the picture (since you say that they thought you were crazy to marry her).
(((((hugs)))))
Try it. You might like it. And, if not, you've only wasted a couple of hours, right--and if it's a walking group, you can just walk yourself away... LOL!
