I know men think different than women.

I found that especially true in regards to

I'm a guy and new here, like all members I'm a cerebellum stroke victim. Being at home 24/7 left me nothing to do except read and read thru the internet. Thank God I found blog site. Have undergone 3X a week therapy and counting.

Not a guy but could use a friend. Don't really care whether you are a guy or not. In my marriage, STBX was the emotional one while I was sorta stoic. He loved to shop and I hated it. He was emotional and told me I was stunted. Whatever! Many of my friends said if I did not look all woman they would have thought I was a guy. Ok. Thanks. Yeah Whatever.

The opposite huh! as men and women came to age, there changes that cannot be avoided. Emotional change is one of them. Look, even you became emotional while he is doing his round shopping.

I don't like crowded places, specially malls. If I got what I intend to buy I go home.

I think you and Chitown are the only regulars here on breakups and divorce Dylan. You could always shoot him a message if you need man talk

Hey Dylan- Just joined...and at the beginning of my divorce.

Been here a short time and appreciate the support as a man recently divorced.

I read the posts here fairly often - maybe a couple times a week. I don't post much lately. My world crashed around me March-June of 2015. Divorced October 2015. Life is better on the other side. Time helps. Finding hobbies and interests and things to occupy you helps, especially if it leads to meeting new people (not easy for introverts like me). Things are not perfect, but I feel OK much of the time and have hope for long term happiness. The pain and anger are dulled. They flare up now and then but not so often.

I remember your story Dylan. And if I recall correctly, your family is all overseas? Are you getting out much? If you can find ways to get out of the house, get away from your routine (perhaps with a new activity), it may help.

I'm a guy. Divorced 6 years ago and went through a heartbreaking breakup on January. I am doing very VERY well. The breakup was nothing compared to my divorce. I guess it gets easier and we get stronger each time. We also get better. I remember after my divorce how guilty I felt for all the wrong I did and how hurt I felt by all the wrong that was done to me. So my next relationship I decided to do EVERYTHING right. I put 100% into it. Instead of going the wrong way like most people do that they get filled with hate and don't want to have anything to do with relationships again I decided the next time I was in a meaningful relationship I would try my best and if it didn't work out I would have a clear conscious that it wasn't my fault. I guess that's why it was easier this time around. I am stronger, I am more mature, I am whole and best of all I know I did it right and I can't take the blame for it not working. Sometimes people just don't work out. PERIOD
