It has been 6 days since I last heard from my wife. No emails, doesnt awnser the phone. Nothing. Yes we are having marital issue(MAJOR) and I believe she has found my replacement but, all I want is to know that she still knows I exist. Regardless if she wants to leave or not. Being here in Iraq makes nothing easy. I know she was having a tough time until this guy, who she clames is like her best friend, decides to be in my wifes and stepchilds life. I have never been unfaithful to my wife. Yes I have made my mistakes and had my issues but, we worked through all that. I give and gave her everything she wanted, without question. Now im here and I see pictures of some dude standing in my place next to MY wife and child.

Let me settle down....I just love my wife more than I even know. Yet I know that this is probibly the end of my marrige. But, she is going down a path to which I can not follow. Thats what breaks my heart the most. This is my life too, not just hers. And to think I had the choice not to deploy but, I have soldiers and who I am as a person wont let me fail them. I would never forgive myself if something was to happen to them and I wasnt there to protect them. They have familys too and I intend to bring them home to them. Yet I will come home alone.

Sorry for the mix of emotions all. It comes in waves. Ill be good then I will be horrible. But, I feel that without this site and Matisyahu I would fail as a leader and a person. You all give me strength and peace. I only wish I could get the same from the woman I so deeply fell in love with.

Sonny, your wife knows that you still exist and so does the rest of your family and friends back home. please email and communicate with your family right now as you try to get through this.

your wife is just not cut out for doing it alone without a man around all of the time. i am so sorry that you have to go through this.

Sonny - I am in the other end of the rope - my stbx is in Afghanistan - I've never been unfaithful and he is the one that don't communicate. Both sides are in a tough position - you guys dont elect to deploy and we as spouses dont elect to be single mothers. I understand your duty to your soldiers, I'm my case my stbx has been putting his soldiers, duties and work first than his family and children - deployment is already stresful enough for the soldiers and their families. I'm sorry you are going through this - it is the same feelings and emotions just our positions are inverted. Stay strong you are not alone!!

Please try to stay strong until you can come home and deal with it personally.
I think your wife is feeling guilty and is in denial of what she is doing.
Sounds like she is weak, and cant handle her problems.
I am proud you chose to be deployed for your other family. They will always be there for you.
Thank you for being there for us.

So sorry you are feeling the pain of that emotional rollercoaster ride. I hope she comes to her senses and realizes what she has and what she has to lose. Hang in there! You'll get through this. Be strong for yourself and do something that helps to make YOU happy. :)
