I would marry my friend in NC if she were interested in seeing if that were a good idea. She has all the ingredients I'm looking for. But I wouldn't do it before 2011, so there's plenty of time for it all to come together.

I say I'll never remarry. A girlfriend and I made a bet--I say never remarry, she says remarry in the next 20 years. The stakes are a nice ($500) piece of gold jewelry. I just don't think vows mean anything--the other person can always back out. Why bother?

I'm feeling like that too. I'm not officialy divorced yet (filed and in process), but I never thought my stbx could commit adultery twice, the second time in a long term relationship with an older, unattractive woman he's in love with. I never thought he could throw me away like garbage or give money to ow or anyone without asking me. I'm scared to date and dump or be dumped and I'm scared to either get stuck in a bad marriage or be left by another man. It makes me kind of sad that I feel this way, but I'm just feeling kind of cynical about marriage and trusting someone that deeply.

I would say waiting is ideal.
Since my divorce the thought or marriage has been pretty much unthinkable anyways.
I would never rush anything again.
I do not know your situation but two weeks is a little quick for me.
