Breakups & Divorce Support Group
Just broke up with someone or in the midst of a difficult divorce? Breaking up is difficult no matter what the circumstances are. They say that time heals all wounds, but sometimes a listening ear or a hug can work wonders for the heart. Whether you need a place to vent, someone to hold you to No Contact, or need advice about what to do, we're here to help.
1. Try to find situations that are not high pressure (e.g. a bar Saturday night where everyone is trying to meet someone) - possibly through an organized activity such as a sports league.
2. Don't try too hard - be easygoing about the whole thing. Trying too hard can be preceived as desperation.
3. Find social settings that are out of the norm - the ones you are comfortable with are likely ones you frequented when you were married and are not great for meeting people.
4. Don't take rejection personally.
(disclaimer - I'm remembering from when I was single)
