i think you should love yourself on the inside. outsides arent as important as the person on the inside. and people come in different shapes and sizes. women are supposed to be curvy. throw the bones to the dogs! the meat is for the MAN!!!

I forgot to mention a really good book I just finished..."Healing your Aloneness" by Erika Chopich. If you can get past the psychobabble it can be really helpful.

I go through the same things alot of the time Happy. I'm a size 14 also. But honestly, I'm at the point now, where if I do it for someone and they want to be with me great. And if not, then move right on. I don't want to be with anyone that doesn't truly want to be with me.

I do understand how frustrating this is though. Just believe in the amazing things you possess inside and they will shine right through.

You just answered your question with your first sentence. You don't like you. And for 18 years, you've convinced yourself (programmed your mind, actually) that your physical appearance is all that matters. And likely, you give this impression off to men who haven't even yet formed an opinion. The average size of an American woman today is size 14. Are they all single? Do they not find love? I truly believe, as others have said, that you need to reprogram your perspective. You need to find a therapist or some self-help books that help you learn to love YOU for who you are. When you find your own love -- it WILL radiate outwards. There are most definitely men out there who love a woman for her personality, charm, love, inner peace. There are also men out there who have no desire to be with a size 6 but rather find larger women absolutely beautiful and sexy. Skinny women are a turn-off for them.

But, in all fairness, you have jumped to a conclusion without even giving the guy a fair chance. Put down your shield and you'll find there are plenty of men out there who not only find you attractive, but are willing to love you as well.

Don't judge yourself by your size regardless of what it is.. it is what you are inside. You know that, I know that and ultimately everyone knows that. We just have to keep reminding ourselves (me included - I sound like a cheerleader this morning, huh? maybe all those years really paid off for something other than aches and pains!!). Im also a size 14.. and If Im not mistaken I believe the average size for American women is 14.. Im 5'9 and happy to be a 14.. (was a size 20 pushing 22 a yr ago) My ex also drilled in my head how huge I was, depression kicked in, and I just watched myself get bigger and bigger.. but now at a 14.. Im happy with myselrr ..

Something else my ex used to tell me.. Self Confidence.. when I was pushing a 22... I had none.. he even told me those nasty women on Jerry Springer were sexier than I was because they had self confidence in themselves...

if you believe you're beautiful.. others will too.. and I did just look at your photo.. I dont think you're fat at all.. and you have an amazing smile.. you're a beautiful woman.. once you see that and believe it.. others will too

Every day look at yourself in the mirror and say out loud 'I am lovely I am beautiful' don't eat to improve yr self esteem its a viscious circle. Don't look for men to make you happy, do something once a day you enjoy, you have a habit like smoking that you have formed for so long, just try and break it by saying those words, give yr self time it will work

Marilyne Monroe was a size 14...think about that everytime you see a little skinny boy shaped girl....
