I have that same indecision at times also. It's getting a little less intense the longer no contact goes. But there are days. Hang with it !

OMG!!! It's not just you. Well, I never believe anything my ex says about me. As far as he was concerned I was an abuser in the relationship. BUT, in a fight I had where I ended a friendship with a woman I'd only known for a few years. She said that I come with a lot of emotional baggage and it's too heavy for her to carry arounnd. I thought oh screw her. I don't have any more issues than anyone else. Besides when our friendship became more involved I was going through a separation and a divorce. And she never had to carry my load. As my friend she just had to listen to me. She didn't even live in the same state as me. How in the Hell did she carry my baggage?

Knowing this I still pulled away from others because to an extent this could be true.

Screw 'em. The trick is to really know ourselves better than others do.

I always believed everything he said about me. I wish there was a way to erase all the bad stuff he made me believe about myself. I somehow got lost and cannot finds myself now. He always said I could screw up a wet dream. Gives you confidence in yourself...Actually I don't have wet dreams, so I must really screw them up.

This is why I don't talk to my stbx it just pisses me off, and she says stupid things, like I don't know why you are still mad at me.

My H doesn't tells me that I'm a psycho but that "she" is. Yet he lives w/ her. He's laid some guilt at my feet but really I know that I've been a good wife. No one is perfect and you can't expect them to be. But what you can expect and should expect is that they will stand with you and not against you. You are not a psycho-that is him trying to control you. Don't listen to that negative person on your shoulder. You are a good person and you are strong and you will get thru this.

I was just telling this to a friend today. That after I talk with my stbx I really doubt myself and my own truth. I think it is because I have let him do this to me for so many years without even realizing it. You are not alone with this at all. I do much better when I don't even talk to him.

It sounds as if he is trying to convince himself that you are those things. It serves a purpose of some sort for him.

If you believe them then that is a red flag for you to work on your own self esteem. I've been there....just hang in there.

I totally know how you feel diemjs, it frustrates me as well. Those are just words directed at you because he's angry. WORDS that are not true about you. You know who you are.
