Just broke up with someone or in the midst of a difficult divorce? Breaking up is difficult no matter what the circumstances are. They say that time heals all wounds, but sometimes a listening ear or a hug can work wonders for the heart. Whether you need a place to vent, someone to hold you to No Contact, or need advice about what to do, we're here to help.
I have come to believe that many relationships do not last because one or both of the persons is not being his/her true self, and is instead trying to be someone they think their partner wants them to be or be like. That can only last so long before the real person comes out. Then the differences arise.
My last relationship ended recently after 8 years, largely because I just was not the person she was wanting me to be and she could not accept me as I totally am. And I could not and would not try to be someone that I am not and never will be. For me to try to be that person would be living a lie and always trying to be someone else and not my natural and genuine self. We have to be able to accept the real person they are and be the real person that we are.
And yes, there are a lot of loving people on this group and there are like-minded, caring people out there with huge hearts, male and female alike.
