Home alone AGAIN!!!

This site help me a great deal several years ago. I'm trying to either re-connect or connect with others going thru the same crap I'm going thru. My daughter turned 11 on Tuesday. Now, over the prior weekend I paid for an awsome over night b-day party for her and 8 of her friends. We had spa night with mani's - pedi's - facials and even made some of our own makeup. This party plus her new DSi and game to go w/the DSi, cost me close to $400. The night of her actual b-day her father was supposed to take all of us out to a Japense Restuarant. Well that changed to Chinese Buffet (which was all she wanted to do). Would you know, he canceled out that morning saying he didn't have enough money to cover the dinner, Freakin' $40 and he didn't have it. Well he just rcvd $3,4000 in taxes, I wonder what the heck he did with all that money. Well now it's 4 days later, she's out of town with her best friend and he's been out at the bar all day. He left at 11:30am this morning heading to the bank and it's now 6:08 pm and he's still not home. What a freakin' J-A**.

You sound like an AWESOME mom!

I'm gonna guess that your daughter will remember how cool her mom was on her 11th and that her dad didn't show up. He'salready paid WAY more than $40 and he doesn't even know it.

You are married, then, not separated or anything? I am only asking because, if he got back 3400 dollars, why don't you know what he did with it? Sounds like he has some explaining to do...

Yes we're still married, however, separation is only a few months away. If you read my journal for today, it explains my circumstance. As for my husband, he seems to think he works harder and deserves the tax money more than I do. Even though, this year, I made more then he did. He also claims he dumps it all into the house by fixing it up. But because he's an alcoholic, he thinks that getting too drunk to go to work the next day and using the money to make up for lost wages to pay the mortgage, means the money is going back into the house. Not long ago I pointed out that in the last 12 years, not one fixxer upper job that he's started has been completed. I've been waiting a year for my main bathroom to be finished. He's paited the main living areas 3 times since we've lived her and not once has he painting the windows. We re-did the kitchen last year, (that money came from the insurance company due to a pipe burst), and it's still not done. His pride and joy sports room, was painted before we moved in and then he touched up spots and has never painted the final coat. Oh then he bought nice burgandy red front load washer and dryer and placed them in a laundry room thats orange from the previous owners. So I asked him, where the money was and he still claims in the house. I said show me where and it just started a huge fight where he was in my face ready to hit me. So I backed off as I always do. His day is coming and I keep telling him that.

Sorry for what you are going through, and i'm sorry for your daughter. Sounds like you're heading in the right direction with your husband. Glad you are back here for the support!
