Hello, my name is April. I just lost the love of my life to his heroin addiction. He's still alive, I think, maybe... Yeah, I'm not really sure. I am not only dealing with our break-up. I'm dealing with his addiction. And now, I'm dealing with anxiety that was triggered by his supplier trying to break into my house. My Mack is gone. Our life together is gone. It feels as if all the happiness has been sucked from this earth and I'm left standing in a void. It's been 10 days since I found out about the heroin. I kicked him out that night. I moved me and my daughter into a safe environment. I miss the man I fell in love with. I miss the happiness that we had together. I'm sad. And lonely. And very scared right now. I know I did the right thing. But it doesn't stop the pain. I'm in a constant state of mourning. I don't think I'll ever stop crying. I don't think this pain will ever go away.
You did the right thing, moving your daughter and yourself to safety. Continue being a good mother, and don't forget to look after yourself so that you're able to look after your daughter.

Without a doubt you did the right thing. Hopefully he'll crash soon and decide to get straight. But it's going to take a long time for recovery for him if he does, and it's a path he's going to need to take alone.
