i couldnt handle having contact plain and simple..good luck if you are trying to friends...i just couldnt do it.

I don't want to be friends. He claims tha all relationships have to built on a stable friendship so I have kind of allowed him to reach out to me. I think he is just trying to pay me back for ruining my life and relieve some of his guilt! It is still all about him!

Just play it by ear. Don't expect anything but be yourself and have fun. You don't have to give up just be realistic. Hope your daughter has a great birthday! Kathy

OK Girlfriend...here I go. What I don't understand is the term "unconditional love". What does it really mean? Does it mean I love you although you are a child molester? does it mean I love you although you kick dogs at random? I love you although you are a serial killer? Or does it mean I need for you to love me as I am; unconditionally so I offer it to you hoping you will follow suit? We can be so happy to have someone who we consider to be a gd person in our lives that we intentionally ignore the red flags. It was a red flag when you found out he had never been in a serious relationship before. We will always have our hearts broken (me included)when we don't realize the next person to come along after our break up is indeed a rebound person OR when we don't realize when we are their rebound person. We become so enamored by the idea of being loved again that we jump feet first.

He's a really great guy; loves you and your kids but he doesn't want a commitment. If he pretends he wants a committment then you'll have a totally different problem on your hands. What you feel is so natural but hurful at the same time. Wonder if he's feeling as nervous as you are? WHATEVER you do (because I can see where this is headed tonight) be careful with your heart..and expect nothing. I love you.

Thanks JJ you as always speak the wise truth. I am just going to let my daughter go to the door to pick up the movies and stuff. I don't even want to see him. He can not give what I need. Now you're just gonna have yourself on pins and needles waiting on the door bell to ring..with anticipation of him stopping by. You know you wanna see him if only for a sec. You're gonna be upset either way.

I thought I did finish the story. The story was done in 3 parts. It ended with me being too tired to go out and probably rocked Z to sleep with the aroma. At the end neither of us felt like going out.

Must have missed the third part, I'll go back and find it.
