2 weeks ago my wife of 4 years woke up and told me she was going to a lawyer for a legal separation. I packed some things and left our home. She claimed to have not been happy for over a year but she had me and everyone else fooled. Yes we had our issues but nothing that you break your vows for without even trying counseling. In the past two weeks things took a turn for the worst I received a separation agreement in the mail from her lawyer which within days she decided she is going to file for divorce anyway. Our families got involved and it got worse. Now she changed the locks on the doors and I'm just waiting to get served with divorce papers. Do you have legal representation as far as the house goes ?

I know it may seem impossible, but patiently loving your wife is your best bet to show her how much you want your wedding vows to carry their eternal value. Listen to your wife, and if she refuses to talk to you, let her know you are waiting and available.
Rather than leaning on her faults and focusing on her “bad” character for pursuing divorce, direct your attention to your own weaknesses and areas in need of improvement. Show her that you can change, and it would never hurt to offer attendance to a troubled marriage conference of some kind. My uncle approached his delicate marriage as an opportunity to show selfless love for his wife. For quite some time, there was no return, but he persevered. The support of his family, he says, was what carried him through. So I encourage you to find a support system that you can trust. This article also speaks to your situation: http://bit.ly/2gC92Eh
