my boyfriend of 2 years broke up with me 5 months ago and now is starting to talk to other girls and idk how to deal with it I'm still in love with him and talk to him and he knows I want him back. I thought about not talking to him for a while so he can have a chance to miss me like I miss him. What should I do ? Btw we are a long distance coupleĀ

Right now, no contact is best. Evaluate why you broke up in the first place during this no contact period and work on yourself.

Long distance is difficult in the best of circumstances, but being so young, I think adds it's own challenges. You guys are at the age to try new things and meet new people, explore new places and experiences. I think an honest conversation needs to take place. Does he have any interest in trying again with you or not? No sense in keeping your heart in limbo waiting for what you want and the other person doesn't. If he does see a future with you, then you have a place to begin again. Good luck!

No contact is extremely hard but it really is the best solution. Holding on and still having contact after the breakup prolongs the healing process. My ex bf broke up with me three months ago and I broke no contact several times which would make it hard to let go. But I decided to finally stop and now have made it through 40 days of no contact and I feel better. I really do. Not seeing, talking and knowing of him has made me slowly redirect my attention on myself. It's extremely hard at first but not impossible. It DOES get easier. If you can please read my posts and I hope it is of some help. I know it's hard to know he's talking to other girls now but know that you too will eventually talk to other guys and have future relationships. And if he's talking to other girls it seems like he's ready to move on while you're still being only attentive to him and that hurts you more...please know that NO CONTACT is the most effective way to start letting go and focusing on YOU! Extremely hard at first I thought I wasn't going to make it but here I am. It feels great to know that I can live without him I don't "need" him to survive..bc that's how I felt at first, like I couldn't live without him. You can do this!! Anything you need please feel free to contact me. Hugs. It does get better. Take care.

I wish I had a magic pill to give you so that you wouldn't be experiencing this horrible experience. From someone who has experienced this many times..you need to let go. It's the only way. Talking to him will only prolong your suffering. Right now it might feel impossible. You are hanging on to something that felt right in the past, but it's the past. The future will only bring you pain, unless you take that leap and do this. You can do this! It is going to be hard. It is going to hurt, but you know it is the right thing to do. Arm yourself with a support group, new hobbie and positive self talk. It's okay to let go. I'm sorry you are hurting. Keep writing here and keep verbalizing your feelings. You are human and this is normal.

I know how you are feeling. I recently reconnected with my ex-wife of 11 years. We were talking really good for about 4 months. Then, all of a sudden she stopped talking. No she is posting pictures of her and another man on Facebook. It is absolutely one of the greatest hurts I have ever felt in my life. I know It will get easier as time goes on, but right no I am having difficulty even getting out of bed. It doesnt seem that she even cares one bit. Such betrayal. I feel so used as though she just kept me around until something better came along. I will certainly be in prayer for you.
