Breakups & Divorce Support Group
Just broke up with someone or in the midst of a difficult divorce? Breaking up is difficult no matter what the circumstances are. They say that time heals all wounds, but sometimes a listening ear or a hug can work wonders for the heart. Whether you need a place to vent, someone to hold you to No Contact, or need advice about what to do, we're here to help.

I'm so sorry to hear about what your dealing with. It never feels good to sacrifice your life, sale your home to move in with someone and then they just change on you.
I know when this same thing happened to me it really affected me causing me to go into a deep depression. Im usually this upbeat happy, free spirited person but when I sold my home and left my good paying hospital job, moved in with my husband (at the time) and then he flipped the script on me, I felt like such a fool. After I cried so many tears, went to counseling, and some time passed, then I began to feel better.
One day when I was alone and just crying, something spoke into my spirit and said that no one can take away the essence of who I am and what I was made you for. I experienced an extreme loss when my ex husband took his love from me but that loss has nothing to do with what I'm really meant to accomplish in my life.
So I started concentrating on what I was really passionate about and began to pour myself into starting my own business, doing something I love.
Long story short, it doesn't feel good when life doesn't turn out the way we wanted, but there is an opportunity in your most painful moments.
Trust me I really felt like I would not be able to get back up from this...... Try to get all of the support you can. Counseling, support groups and only be around people that will uplift you. You are the only one that really knows how your feeling and you have the right to express yourself in a Safe environment.
You Will Win!

"First they ignored you, then they laughed at you, then they fought you, then you won."
You have no idea how this lifted my spirits. I know for me a lot of the issues I have when I'm going through something is that it feels like I'm alone and the only one experiencing it. I am so relieved that someone understands my pain from experience. I never like to give advice off assumptions of my thoughts the best comfort and advice to me is from experience. He tried to make me feel guilty today when I mentioned child support. I so do not know who this person is I once loved so much, but in hindsight, I see it best that he goes on with his life. Thank you so much for the upliftment. I greatly appreciate you!

You have the greatest gift God can give you. Children are a handful to raise. Sadly i have never had my own but have helped raise two boys, and i loved being their dad for the time i was.
I could go on saying how crappy he is but that would not help you.
I would cut him off as much as you can and make him deal with the state in providing help.
Get your family and friend help and surround yourself with people who care for your well being.
Your post made me smile! I feel the EXACT same way and yes I am cutting all ties besides my children and yes CS is in process. He is upset about it because he feels he can take care of his kids without being told to do so, BUT he is not even acknowledging the one I'm carrying so yea I am definitely going through the state. Although you don't have your own children you have a better understanding than he does. Walking away from a relationship is one thing, but from your kids is a whole other thing. It really shows he is not who I fell in love with and I know that in the long run he will regret his choices, but it's already too late. Thank you for the support you made my day!
He put this song of praise in this heart of mine.
God is good. All the time.
Through the endless night, His light does shine.
God is good. He's so good.
All the time.
The kids and I would dance in our front room with the stereo blasting and belt the chorus out with gusto.
So it was on an October day that I was filling out this discovery and feeling so sad and so scared, so insecure. And in the midst of this, I heard my youngest son, who was three at the time, and out of the nowhere he began singing Don Moen's song. Now, I knew he knew the chorus because we would belt it out as loud as we could. But that was not what he sang. He sang the bridge of the song, which I had never heard him sing before and have never heard him sing since. The bridge goes like this:
Though I may not understand, all the plans You have for me,
My life is in Your hands . . .
My mouth dropped open and I stared at him, absolutely stunned. And it was at that moment that I realized, I may not know God's plan for my life, but God does, and that is enough.
I want to leave to verses of scripture with you. I cling to them:
Romans 8:28:
We know that all things work together for good[a] for those who love God, who are called according to his purpose.
Jeremiah 29:11:
For surely I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord, plans for your welfare and not for harm, to give you a future with hope.
You, precious friend, may not know what the future holds, but God does. Your lives are in His hands, and that is enough, because God is good -- all the time..
You truly have me insight and a great spiritual turn on this whole situation! I have actually been doing pretty good despite the situation because in prayer this morning I thought if god removed me from here right now I would leave a miserable soul upset over someone who does not love me and a dead situation. That put a lot in perspective for me and now your post helped even more! Thank you and I will listen to that song! Prayers and blessings to you and your sons!
