Last Friday, I went an retrieved the last of my things at my ex's house. We had an OK conversation. I know the break is hurting him too (although the break up is his decision) as he looked like crap and said, he had not been sleeping and is taking sleeping pills. I wished him well and told him there was no need for me to come back this Friday to retrieve any last bit of mail I might get there and told him to mail it to me. He asked if he could call and check up on me. I just shrugged my sholders like why, hugged him and left. Today is day 5 that we haven't spoken and it hurts. I used to talk to him 2 or 3 times a day. I wish I could say we had a bad relationship but we did not. I will have fond memories of him and all that we did together. So upset that it ended abruptly. I pray that I get over this. I want to call him so badly but, I believe I am doing the right thing by not contacting him. Just my thoughts, I will vent on here.

huh - yeah, i converted because of her - well, really, i wanted to, but yeah, you could say we joined a church together. we sang in choir together. shit - we did everything together - until about a year-&-a-half ago. there was my drinking, yeah - i'm not going to downplay that. but there was an awful lot of not doing things together. she quit choir - we also used to play music together - that stopped too. we used to watch baseball together - that stopped. hell, i joined a baseball team, and she came by only once - for the last couple innings of our first game. she stareting getting all sorts of promotions at work, started spending days & nights there. even when she wasn;t there she was really still there. i just worked to earn some money so i can live my life as i please - she worked to change the world. but with that, she got higher up, started dressing differently - everything was business li ke - used to be tshirt, jeans, etc - now no more. everything we used to do thogether we stopped doing together.

in the end even our most intimate stuff fell by the wayside - sex became a once a month thing - really. 2 times would be like "woah!" we used to be on each other all the time. now almost everything i wore she used an excuse to not get close to me. "i'm eral tired of that hat" "that shirt doesn't look good on you anymore"

no worries, just glad this forum is here so we can vent. This eases the urge for me to call him, and believe I want to call him so badly and say I want to come home.

Hang in there. I wish I had the option to have no contact but for the next couple months, we have to live together. It is difficult seeing the person who betrayed your trust and rejected you everyday. I try not to talk more than necessary but we had a decent relationship and old habits are hard to break. My emotions flip flop from anger to self pity hour to hour but the more I accept it, the easier it seems. If I go an entire day without texting her, that is an accomplishment. I think you are doing really well. Give yourself some credit well deserved. :) I have to believe that it will get better and I look forward to putting this behind me.
