I felt like he had that dismissive personality all alone. He never had feelings for me just pretended he did.
It hurts really bad but You WILL SURVIVE AND THRIVE.
Imho you need a serious shot of self esteem.
You dont feel like it now, but youre worth so much more than crusing his facebook page and dating sites looking for someone who has already lied to you (and others) and treated you badly.
Have you been to therapy of any kind?
There are plenty of people looking for a loving, loyal, honest partner.
Build yourself up and open the door to a healthy relationship
Usually when things are over, they are over.
FWIW, none of my ex'es ever reached out for me. My EX husband divorced me, then married another woman. My EX fiance dumped me and then married another woman. My EX boss fired me and never offered me another job. That is the nature of EX's.
I agree that counseling would be beneficial to you.
You were mostly happy as a couple throughout your relationship
Break up was due to a kind of emotional outburst (a serious fight over a not so important issue)
The couple had a relatively long history together
One website I read clearly states that if you don't have a good relationship overall, why do you want your ex back?
Sometimes I feel like trying to fix things with my husband who recently told me that we have no future together (like I can fix it by myself alone :) ), but then I realize that there is nothing to be fixed. If your relationship is worth saving, meaning that your partner was good to you most of the time and you broke up over a meaningless thing, yes no contact may work. But if this is a relationship that hurt you a lot, ex should stay as an ex.
You dont want your EX in your life.
You have too many other things going on to has them bringing you down.
If they are not helping you succeed at life then they are holding you back.
My Ex will not stop reaching out.
Last night was the first time in 4 months that she has gotten close to asking about me or how i am doing...but really it was just a case of wanting interaction, and any interaction would make her feel in control again.
It was four months ago today that she told me to stop being a little bitch when I asked her why she called her AP in the middle of the night, of course she denied it at first. Then I asked why she texted him earlier that morning, and she replied with I was over reacting, and denied it too at first.
I’ve seen a lot of ex’s come back after months or years all the time. I guess it boils down to why they left in the first place. Sometimes people think the grass is greener on the other side, and when they find out it’s not they try to come back.
I guess the question to ask is, putting your emotions to the side for one second, and just looking at the person as a whole. Do you really even what them if they came back?
I’ll tell you, I really wanted my ex back, I know she’s not good for me, I know we don’t see things the same, I know I don’t like her ways, but because of the feelings I have for her, I wanted her back. I didn’t care how bad for me she was. But I’m working every day to move on and grow. You have to love you more then you love them. Especially when that person does not have your best interest at heart at all.
Now I don’t know or is it my place to say to anyone you should or should not take your ex back. But what I can say is, the best thing to do is work on you, keep growing, keep reaching new goals, keep uplifting yourself. Cause here’s the thing, if your doing better, that could make that person realize what they had and bring them back. (Just let it be worth it for you) or if your doing better, it will help for when you meet someone new, and they’ll be thinking, who let you get away. So there’s no down side to being the best you that you can be.
I wish you all the luck in this journey of yours. I think everyone here is pulling for you, and wanting to see you succeed.
