Finally got to see my kids again after the long spring break and it was much needed. Just being able to see their smiling faces and snuggle them even for a couple of hours was great.

Unfortunately that meant I had to hear about their long vacation with the ex's lightning quick new boyfriend. Basically it was 5 days of activities tailored to winning his way into my children's hearts. I absolutely HATE that it's working so quickly. It feels like I'm able to be replaced with so little time and effort.

To top it off of course they showed up in his truck after making me wait 5 minutes in front of the house, announced to the kids they were going out to eat and that they'd be having a sleep over at his house afterwards. No coincidence that this was right in front of me /sarcasm.

How can she have absolutely no feelings for the 18 years we spent together and intentionally rub her new relationship in my face? I'm not the one who left. I'm not the one who rushed the paperwork through as fast as possible. I'm not talking bad about her to my kids. I'm trying to let her have her new life and stay out of it. Why go out of her way to hurt me?

Or remorse. IMO

I still think she already had eyes on him before
The divorce. Some try to play that game so the
divorce Is better financially and less contentious
for them. Surprise this is my new friend, HUGS

It makes me sad when people treat each other like this. I don't know your situation but it sounds like she had this new relationship all lined up in advance. From the actions described above I can hardly believe you were together for 18 years. After 24 years w my partner I sometimes feel vindictive but in my heart I want him to figure himself out and have a good life. I don't get off on hurting him on purpose, regardless of what he did and I respect his right to have a relationship with our daughter that has nothing to do with me. That's her father and she will always be his child no matter what goes on between him and I. I'm sorry it sounds like your ex partner has a lot of growing up to do. :( Take heart in knowing that your kids will see through the bullshit as they grow up...They aren't going to see him as a replacement for you just because he's working hard to 'impress' them now. You're their father and nothing can take the place of that. Just keep working to stay in their lives and be a real and reliable presence for them. In the end, that will be what matters. And take care of yourself. You're not alone
