25 is not old at all, so don't worry! life is strange. in fact, by this time next year, it's possible you could be happily married to someone else and even pregnant!
in the meantime, your 20s are the perfect time to put all your focus on building up a fabulous career and meeting new girlfriends through work, church, or volunteering :)
It's actually very common for someone to just bail like that once the relationship really gets going, I guess it's just too much for them.
I don't like the feeling that people put you in this situation and made a relationship seem so important. It shouldn't be about peer pressure.

Just be confident that you are a good person, that you didn't do anything wrong, that you are attractive, that you having a loving and respectful family. That guy was no good for you, as much as you love him, he is worthless. Sometimes we fall for the wrong person, it happens.
