The last four years have been somewhat of an odyssey for me. I truly lost myself prior to that, and then had my epiphany which, through a lot of hard work and deep introspection, has led to an awakening. A discovery of the real me, who I'm not sure I ever really knew.

I've set and met various and sundry goals over those four years, and they have seemingly built a very solid foundation, introducing structure and discipline into my life. A balancing of heart & mind, of right & left hemisphere thinking.

My xgf, God bless her, seems to have been the key that unlocked the final door to a part of me I never, ever fully understood or appreciated. She showed me the depth and breadth of my capacity to love another. For that reason she will always have a very special place in my heart. :-)

Over the last few days I've suddenly discovered an urging, a burning desire, to expand myself in directions I've never considered before.

I want to learn to play the piano. I did take lessons for a few months back in first grade, but that's it. My sister continued for some time, and one of my cousins majored in music, specifically classical piano. I've always loved the sound, melody, rhythm and harmony of the instrument.

I'm seriously considering joining Toastmasters. There was a time when I absolutely abhorred speaking in front of a group, however now I have no problem presenting at work. I also enjoy using language to convey my thoughts.

I have an absolute passion for astronomy, cosmology, physics, astrophysics, quantum mechanics, string theory, M-theory and anything related. However I just don't have the math skills to go beyond a laymen's understanding. I'm contemplating taking the necessary classes to allow me to begin to understand these disciplines on a more fundamental level. Heheh, I know this is a huge one, and could quite possibly be a life-long endeavor.
