Tonight is going to be tough. I am meeting my stbx, and our old best friends, at a pizza place for my youngest sons birthday.
It will be the first time in weeks that I have to be around her for more than a few minutes.
On top of that Todd and Karen, our old best friends, will be there, and I havent seen them since the separation. My stbx still talks to them all the time so God only knows what she has told them. I know she had Todd change the locks on our house the day I moved out. I dont even know if Todd and Karen know about her boyfriend, though I bet they do since Todd works with my stbx and everyone at her work must know by now. She hasnt exactly been keeping it under the radar.
I just dont like my stbx right now. The sight of her face, the sound of her voice, just make me ill. But tonight I have to spend hours around her.
Please offer me some love and support; Im worried tonight is going to set me back weeks. Ive felt like ive made so much progress the last week or two, I dont want to go backwards.

Getting back to you; The weeks of work that we do on ourselves can be undone in a matter of a few seconds, so please stay strong, easier said than done, I know but, it's for our own mental well being. It's not easy what you will have to endure emotionally tonight but think of why you are there and perhaps this will make this step a bit, and I mean a tiny bit, easier. My support is with you and my prayers are with you! Let us know how it goes.

Thank you all for the kind words. Im already getting my anxiety back just thinking about tonight. I havent had anxiety for almost over a week, but I feel my belly knotting up now.
Try and concentrate on your son, it's his birthday after all, a good thing to focus on and remind everyone why they're there if things get awkward.

I told her I dont give a shit what she does anymore but if she shows up at our sons bday party hung over I am going to have issues.
Im going tanning and getting my hair and gotee trimmed. Im 40 pounds lighter and gonna be looking good tonight. Last time we were together more than 5 minutes I was defeated and feeling broken. I couldnt even look at her and I talked with a shattered weak voice.
Now I feel stronger, healthier, and more like myself. I have a long way to go, but it will be nice to show her the new me tonight. Let her eat crow a little.
Gonna put on my best casual outfit, and go in smoking ( not a cigarette, smoking hot!).
Wish me luck. I need to stay strong so I can keep all my good progress going. I dont think I can make it through another really big low period.
I'll let you all know how it goes tonight when I get back!
