In a few more days I am heading out on the boat for Solomons Island. It will be a five day cruise and the following weekend I will be heading out for Tangier Island for another 5 days cruise.
The best part of it all, the Admiral will be along. I have had my fiancee out for an overnight cruise and that went well. She even had to deal with rough conditions on that weekend when we went into 20-25 knot winds off of the bow.
So the wedding is 367 days away too. We already have the date, the minister, and the venue.

I sailed to Solomons Island on a 5 day trip, came back so the Fiancee could go to work for two days and then sailed out to Tangier on a 5 day trip.
THe trips were great! I am looking forward to heading out again. We were supposed to cut line and set sail this weekend but the Fiancee has a sinus infection so I am going to do the landlubber thing and take care of her.
I don't want her to feel rough on the boat. I want it to be a happy place for her.
She already is still learning how not to get sea sick. Land Lubbers take some time to adjust to a rolling sea. She fought it good on the passage from Kinsale to Tangier because we had 6 foot rollers quartering the starboard bow. Don't want her being sick and getting sea sick....not good.
again....I am so envious :)
I think I'm sailing this weekend too if it doesn't rain although just for an afternoon and then back to the cottage again. I was listening to the news today about Abby Sunderland, tragic, and reminded me how much I wanted to sail the world when I was her age.
...maybe one day, in the meantime, I'd love to hear some stories :)

it's freakin nancy's fault... and for once, not Dale's... :)
So good to hear things are going so well and the trips were successful. She will get used to the sails in due time, just keep taking her out and "below deck" ;)
