Breakups & Divorce Support Group
Just broke up with someone or in the midst of a difficult divorce? Breaking up is difficult no matter what the circumstances are. They say that time heals all wounds, but sometimes a listening ear or a hug can work wonders for the heart. Whether you need a place to vent, someone to hold you to No Contact, or need advice about what to do, we're here to help.
Keep and cherish what you had, but try to focus on the new life that is ahead. If you keep looking back, you miss what is new. I know that is easier said than done (believe me, I know!). But I think it needs to be done or we'll miss so much of the "now".
when enough time passes, the tears will start being less and less until there are no more inside of you.
i'm sorry that it hurts so much. i know what it is like too. but, the good news in all of this is that you have a heart and that is really important in this day and age when so many people don't seem to have one.
There are some people you don't get over, so they go into a sort of stasis. There was a girl I was in the military with... was head over heels, but wasn't able to get stationed with her. Didn't see her for 20+ years, and finally reconnected. Unfortunately she was bat-shit crazy, and had 3 spawn from 3 different sperm donors. I often wonder what would have occurred had we been stationed together. Then I realize what an amazing place I am in now, and could care less what would have happened if we were stationed together.
It seems for every bit of pain and suffering I have been through, there's something on the other side that makes it worth it.
I am in the same boat. I had to end my marriage because my husband is an addict and was getting abusive.
I wanted him gone, he HAD to leave, but it feels like I've ripped a piece of my soul out.
However, I know that in time, the wound will heal and Ill feel better. You will too. I think the amount of time is different for everyone, but someday you will realize it doesn't hurt anymore.
Too bad life doesn't come with a fast foward buton..then we could all fast foward thru this pain and get on with our lives..
She want a divorce..... I m a broken man.
You keep putting one foot in front of the other, and one day it gets a little bit easier. It's a roller-coaster. At the start you'll have lots of lows, but as time goes on, the lows get shorter and lighter. One day you're able to smile again, then you're able to laugh again, and one day you realize that the world seems a whole lot brighter.
It sucks, but you'll get there.
Be good to yourself, and keep posting on here... we've all been there, and will try o hnelp you as much as we can.
((((((((((hugs))))))))))
I agree, cherish the memories but don't dwell on it thinking that things will be perfect with that person. I also reminded myself of the bad in that relationship and why we aren't together now in the first place.
See if it helps.
