Hello, this is my first post with this group. I have been reading alot of your stories, and I feel that I am not alone in going thru what I am going thru.
I have been with my wife for 18 years, and have been married the last 12. We have 2 beautiful children whom I love and adore more than anything in this world.
But as of 12/09/2016, I was asked to leave my home that I spent the last 12 years trying to build. I am a compulsive liar, and a pornography addict. My wife has known about by compulsive lying for a while now, and I have tried to stop. But it has been apart of me for a very, very long time. And on the date above is when she found out that I had been hiding my porn addiction. She had found a drive with porn that I had downloaded
I seem to make choices, and decisions that show that I only care about myself. I know that I care very deeply about my wife and kids. I know that I would do whatever it takes to protect them.
I am having a very, very difficult time being away from my family. I really do miss being home when my kids wake up in the morning - they are extreme cuddle bugs in the morning to being able to kiss them goodnight when they go to sleep.
I don't know how I am going to be able to handle being away from them for the first time over the holidays - and don't know if I am going to make it thru it this time. I know that I have no one to blame for the situation that I am but myself. But it's still difficult to be away from my kids, and be facing the very real possibility of divorce. I know that I am not built for being a part-time dad.
I suspect my husband of the same, because I have caught him in both big and little lies. He says that's it and no other lies, but I think it's the tip of the iceberg. I am tired and done with fighting him and it. Really now all I feel is sadness, and I am just trying to understand the root of the behavior. Thus my question to you. I just want to understand.
