Finally had the meeting with the mediator which should be the last time I have to sit down with stbx. Everything went as expected I guess. I'm not getting anything really just child support and he has to pay me half of the equity loan that we took out. No alimony since I work full time, even though I make a lot less then him.
He was in a good mood, his arent I a nice guy mood, because after it was over he tells me anytime you need anything just let me know. As we walked to the cars he kept saying that if you need extra money ask me I will give it to you if I can. He wanted to keep talking I was trying to end the conversation and leave, but he just kept chatting. It was the person that I remember him to be when he was being nice. Of cause the extra money I can't get in writing because I know him, he just wants to look good and would want it to be something he will give if he is in a good mood. But of cause because he was nice it brought me to a place that felt bad that I saw him in his car as I left and he was still sitting there chatting. I can't be sure of cause, but his pattern was always to chat with one of the women as he drove so that is probably what he was doing. I hate that him being nice got to me and then he can turn around and chat with them. I get so mad at my self for letting him get to me.

it is supposed to be a community property state which on the surface wounds great... but it's not. The State requires you pay alimony for life if you have been married 10 years. they also figure everything on gross AND if she makes less than you or doesn't work at all, their formula really screws you!!
There is no fairness or justice. Makes it hard to be civil sometimes -
especially when you see where the money is really going, boob job, new car, etc.... but not to getting educated and finding a job for the children... they are always in rags.
Sad.
My stbxH also gave me "if you need ANYTHING, I'll be there for you" line.... that was on Tuesday, on Friday I asked him to repay me (as I'd outlayed it already) some medical bills - and he said 'we'll see'.....
Its called M A N I P U L A T I O N.
I will never ask him for anything - no favours - nudda.
Watch out for YOURSELF and your LO first.
