Finally signed divorce papers. Now it is just a waiting game to when the judge finalizes it. Before I signed I was numb I didn't feel anything, just going through the motions.
I was so relieved after I signed it and thought to myself now I can really move on.
I would not have survived the past few months without my friends here in DS. You have made a friend for life.
Of course my now EX had to ruin it by calling me the next day and asking to talk to me when I pick up the kids. I was a wreck the whole day. When I went to the house, she walked up to the car, I didn't want to get out, she asked me to pay for half her lawyer fees. She got really mad at me when I said "NO WAY", I didn't want the divorce, i shouldn't have to pay for anything. She says the they will go after me for the fees. UNBELIEVABLE. Go ahead and waste more money.
I feel really good right now. I joined a few meetup groups and meeting nice people.
Went to a comedy show and laughed so hard, my face hurt from laughing.
Getting close to my happy place as long she is not in it.

My ex and I were going to try and work thing out without getting lawyers involved. She had friends tell her to lawyer up so she did .... and I did to. Nowhere along the way did either of us ask the other to pay for half of the others legal fees. She sounds unreasonable.
then, not only asking you to pay (which was not part of what she/you agreed to), but threatening you that she'll "come after you" for the fees. seriously, more drama. just for drama's sake. what nonsense. i'm glad for you that it's signed.
good for you for getting out to a show, a good laugh is the most valuable thing to me right now, happy you got to have fun.
