Sorry to me, someone that Loves me would let me go or actually tell me, that if I'm not interested it's okay. I think that say's he's just not that into you. If I'm in love with someone it's not okay if they want to leave me that would be the last thing I would tell someone I was in love with. This guy doesn't sound like he knows what
'I LOVE YOU" even means and you anyone for that matter deserves to have someone that wants them around always. Just my opinion.

In my case, he let me go for all kinds or reasons. One of the reasons was cuz he was so messed up and confused and he knew it. He was sparing me. And he did spare me. Hurts like a summa bitch right now. But I knw it was for the best cuz he could not give what he didn't have to give - me the best that he knew I deserved. So you are loved. Love in itself is not gone. Never. Sad love story. I know. Let's just cry. And smile too because we have hope.

I do believe he is messed up and has a lot of issues right now im more angry with myself for letting my guard down and falling for him.I should have realised from the start i was going to get hurt again and im wondering if i will ever find someone and have a long and happy relationship perhaps its just easier if i stay single.

Im sorry to hear it turned out this way. But..Im also really proud of you that you took the risk and were able to feel something again. Maybe he was just the catalyst you needed to know that it was still possible to let your guard down and feel. I know that doesnt take your pain away..and wish something could...but it shows the remarkable nature of the human spirit.

I think, when people all of a sudden need space,there is something else there. I don't know if he is cheating, but something's up. I think giving him space, not contacting him, and trying to heal yourself is your best bet.

Be careful though. No contact is very important if you realize it can't work. He may call, change his mind, but, would it really be different with a good solid future if that's what you know you want. Realness and healthy. He's got baggage you (me) can't empty or fix altogether. Ya, I let my guard down alot. I choose to love this time. Instead of my own walls. Hopefully he did get a glimpse of love, I got a glimpse of why I keep choosing emotionally unavailableness. No more for me. As much as I hate it and love him. I won't go back. I deserve better.

I would agree with Trying, altho, I don't know who Berger, Carrie or SATC is.

it sounds like his message is confusing fo sho. I mean, he either loves you and gives you kisses, or tells you he needs space and time and knocks that crap off. I know any respectable person, would not confuse someone with that mixed message.

He could need his space/time, whatever, for a variety of reasons, some mentioned here already. But either way, he is saying, right now, he doesn't want to really be with you. To me, if someone doesn't want you around, then the best bet is to not be around. Focus on yourself, getting past this and keeping/getting your life on track for You. If he comes back around, gauge it at that time, but make sure, to continue to live your life, whether he will be in it or not.
