Fighting with it this morning

I woke up this morning and I as feeling okay. I have been trying to plan my next move. I then realized that I am stuck in port today. I was sitting around and I began to feel so alone. It is really depressing. I know that it is just a passing feeling but it stinks. I guess that I miss the togetherness and a tender touch. Sad thing that I was missing those things a lot when I was still with the wife.

Of course hearing the Garth Brooks song "When You Come Back To Me Again" on the radio. It is a beautiful song but it really is tough to listen to right now.

the song I woke to was Supermassive Blackhole. that's what my ex was like to me, sucking up all the life around her. And isn't me now. give it time. being alone sure does stink, but what are your alternatives? Being "together" and being alone. No thank you...

The morning, when I wake up, is the hardest time. That's when the situation hits home the hardest, sometimes gut-wrenchingly so. The missing the tender touch, the togetherness, I have to remind myself that he usually wasn't there for me anyway. And those love songs suck, lol.

I second what HeaveToo and JGTPP said about being 'alone' when you're 'together'. I have never felt so terribly alone as I did in the last 5 years or so of my marriage. There's being 'alone' living your own life, and being 'alone' in what is supposed to be a marriage and family life, to which I felt that my ex contributed very little. The most alone was when I asked for help and was told I was 'alone', it was my problem, not ours. I am alone now but hardly ever feel lonely (maybe because my kiddos run me ragged, which is a good thing!).
