Feeling trapped

A " relationship" of almost a decade, on and off, but never really really off. Kept coming back, kept returning to the same old stuff. Like a maze, but with the same ending. Always hoping this time might be different, but it never did. The worst part is that i always was aware it.s not good for me and i will eventually start all over again with the "letting go" process. It got harder and harder and even though now i.m in the exact same position that i.ve always been i feel like a want to give up being strong and seeing the brighter side.. i don.t know how to let him go for good and forever. I want to, i really want to, i just feel trapped in this twisty, harmful and toxic "thing"...

I am going through the exact same thing I really want to let go I just don't know how . He makes me feel like shot and worthless at times but at the same time I've never experienced the high I do with him wit anyone or thing I feel like I'm addicted to him. But things are just not changing 6 years down the line . I see other women friends family their lived are so stable they have built families I just don't get why I'm not enough for him why I'm not worth the change or commitment . I am so sorry you are going through this

I stopped asking myself why am not enough for him a long time ago. I literally have nothing more to give him to prove that i m worth it. I don.t think it.s even his fault that i.m like this. I.m starting to think that it.s my fault because i didn.t know when to stop. To put it to an end. Soo don.t think that you are not worth it . You are. He is not worth of you. If u still have a relationship with him try to walk away. There.s a small hope that he might change. But i doubt it. I.ve dealt wirh this 10 years. It always was the same.. but learn how to walk away until you see you can do it without him orr maybe someone better appears. For me it did, a couple years ago, but i was a fool and let him go because i was to obsessed with this one that killed every good thing in me.

You are his bottom girl. Mathew Hussy could really explain the dynamic better than me. I don't believe most of what the guy says, but this bottom business rang true to me.

It's when a guy chooses a woman to be his fall back position, landing pad, bottom girl. She at the bottom of the heap and every time he momentarily doesn't have anything better going on he whistles and bottom girl come running, intent on living off whatever crumbs of affection he tosses their way.

Mathew says bottom girls are selling themselves short and when he finally finds his one true live the guy always finally kicks the crumpled up bottom girl to the side permanently. The thing is, she so used to being a bottom, she just hops into another similar relationships, always making herself miserable and selling herself short out of a character weakness or poor self esteem.

I say hop up, dust yourself off and get moving anywhere but where he is. Block him on everything and get your life spinning the right direction. Pull the band-aid of quickly instead of taking another 10 years.
