They tell me this is normal. That we will grieve a relationship just like a death. Considering I"ve woken up not feeling like crying, feeling a little stronger, I'm hoping it stays this way. I don't mind sleeping by myself though. I don't miss his snoring or hogging of the bed. You're grieving a relationship and as you go through the phases, just do what you can to help you through it :)

Its going to ebb and flow.....perfectly normal.

It is a lot of ups and downs. I will do great, and then I will fall again. I just know that I have to push through and do the work of getting over him. So sorry you miss him. I hope it gets better soon.

Ups and downs, ebb and flow, block and uppercut. It's gonna be a battle to maintain your course of direction. Keep tough, sleep is good and so it is time it seems.

I'm barely making my exodus from the battlefield myself. :)

It seems like sometimes for a little while I'm ok again, and then I go right back to square one and feel like I'll never be ok again.

Brooklynn - know that it will get better but unfortunately it takes time. I am three months short of a year since the break up and I don't experience the not being able to sleep nor obsessions but I am still experiencing the "triggers" - Like I went to the grocery store yesterday and they had a waffle maker on sale - I bought it. He loved waffles - I felt so sad. My evening went on well though. What has helped me get stronger is remembering who this person was vs the illusion that I had of him. I don't know your situation but if a man is a liar or a cheater, he is not good for us and we need to stop missing even the good things.

It amazes me how we play the naive/victim role. On the way in to work I was listening to a radio show - the lady was reading a letter of a lady who was saying that she went through her man's phone and found all evidence of cheating - but then she also said, "other than that, we have a good relationship" - the radio lady immediately said, there's no such thing as saying "my man cheated - but we had a good relationship" - in the same sentence. Those two statements don't go together and we are lying to ourselves.

So what I am saying - try your best to not push away the issues that brought on the break up b/c I find that when ppl do that they remain stuck longer. They continue fantasizing and picturing how things would change if there was another chance. Relationships don't end overnight the healing won't also come overnight.

Be strong.
