You are soo onto something. I am not sure exactly how to put it into words, but I do think that when we fall in love with someone because of the way they make US feel about ourselves....that might just be something a little different than philosphers love that revolves aound falling in love with someone for the way they make us feel about THEM...hum,,, oh boy..might have to take this one into therapy and pay real money to learn more. Thanks for the trigger. I need this one.

I don't think I fell in love with STBX, I think we just sort of grew in love. Love out of convenience? Love out of comfort? Or it just happened because there was nothing else to do. Boredom? Oh who knows it happened and now he ended it so it really doesn't matter any longer.

I do know it won't happen again - for me anyway.

I think there would be A LOT more Love in the world, if people would realize LOVE is ABOUT BEHAVIOR too...

Oh well, here's another hopeless romantic. I don't want to analyze what falling in love is, I think it's enough to just feel it My Libra moon talking of course. It's gorgeous to fall in love! I can't wait. I guess I'm an eternal optimist despite of everything . :)

this sounds like the good times..Remember the bad too. Will it be the same then..When push comes to shove. If you stand together then it is love. Not the butterflies..However nice at the times.

I just choose to be happy today. I know all about the bad side of relationships and falling in love. Just in a good space today,and wish the same to everyone.

I've learned that each long term relationship I've been in was born out of some sort of need I had at the time.

The love I felt came from a simple place: I thought I should be in a relationship because it would make me happier than I was on my own. My needs were fulfilled on the short term, but none of these lasted long term (life long).

There was only one time in my long life that I fell in love simply because I was living a life and this person was a wonderful addition.

Now that I know that, I've decided when I'm ready to venture out; make friends, get a life...I'll take care of my own needs and see what hearts I run into. I hope my character and personality; not my needs are what attracts a new love. I may finally find that pure, simple "in-love" feeling I deserve.

yes, you can get overcome by feelings and not see actions clearly. The physical part of the relationship can also get in the way of falling for someone for who they are.

I don't think those are cynical thoughts, so much as realistic thoughts.
