It's alright if both parties agree and have the same expectations from this agreement, but it does make it harder to move on. Being in sexual contact with your ex will make it harder to date or pursue another relationship. I say it's a no no in the recovery process even though the sex may be a "ohhhhhhhhhhhh yes!" Just remember that.

If you are adamant about maintaining a sexual relationship, I would talk about the terms of this agreement. Always use condoms (even if you have an agreement, sometimes the ex significant other will still see/sleep with other people but lie to spare your feelings or to keep you as a Friend w/ benefit.

I had sex with my ex and I realized it was a horrible mistake. It felt amazing while we were in the act, but then I realized that it was empty and was going nowhere (not a quick fix to our issues).
