Emotional is just as bad, intimate thoughts and expressions are shared with someone other than you, is a violation of your trust, the physical part hurts just as much. The fact that your spouse goes to another person to feel good about themselves whether it be emotional or physical will eventually cause you the same pain, which you do not deserve.

emotional is worse. people can have sex without emotion. the emotional affair is only emotion. way worse in my book.

Hi Meddle - I am really sorry that your ex left you and without even showing that he had second thoughts. It is pretty unfair, knowing that a promise was shared and not fulfilled by the other party.

Both hurt. They also hurt both sides because the affair is caused due to loneliness, unhappiness. I am not taking sides. I am trying to understand. Marriages when broken are difficult to put back together.

Loneliness within your self is also a choice....this all goes right back to unhealthy people being in a relationship...

I like discussions like this. Now we all or should know men need visual. Women it is more of an emotional. So I am going to tell you a secret. Some men I would say really most are emotionally cheating. When they see a cute or good looking women they wish they can have her. I dont know of any guys that dont comment when he sees a good looking women. Married or not.

Physical cheating is what it is. People cheat because there is something wrong at the home. They are not happy anymore. People blame the other women for the break up but if hubby/wife were happy than they would have said " NO "

Hi GSCH, I am bringing the topic up for discussion because emotional cheating happens more frequently than we know. Indeed men are visual beings and you got my attention. You recognize that. What it not so apparent is that women are as well - just not so verbal about it when IN A RELATIONSHIP.

my 2 cents..i was cheated on physically but its not the sex so much that was hard to forgive the first time..it was the thoughts that had to go into it.

and i'll also add *lonelyness* fuck that - it was being horny and selfish

if it was wanting sex only, he/she could jump on the spouse and resolve it. Cheating has a lot to do with not being happy and not having the guts to open up.

It is awful. For everyone.

CM we dont hear about it because we dont hang with them like that. They would never say it in front of a guy friend who is married.
