let her pout, gabriel. move on to find a real woman.
My X told me "boy, we sure lived in two different worlds in this relationship over 6 years, didn't we???"
And I thought yeah, we did.
I loved him and thought he felt the same.
He knew I loved him and it ended there.
Two different realities, one household.
He said last year in counseling he didn't love me, and was dismissed by the counselor within minutes after saying it to go and move out. We gave him 1 hour.
I got home 1 hour later and Mr. Great was sitting on the couch eating a ham sandwich and playing online poker.
I said I thought you were leaving?
He responded, "changed my mind."
So, we were in two different worlds. I was thrilled he was still there. Up until last month when he left, I was still surprising him with little gifts on the bed when he got home from work, like sneakers, shorts, etc when I could pick something up If he needed skin cream, I got it that day... things like that.
He would bring home flowers VERY rarely. He said it was good enough - when you are in a relationship for a long time - that he showed up and spent all his time home "with me" and that should be enough to prove his "love".
Guess I always thought there was more to it.
