I wonder if this is a red flag to him? I felt that not telling him from the start would be like lying, this is something I would need to know from a guy when we first meet.

he wouldn't allow me to pay for dinners/dates, but I did once when I wanted to take him to an authentic sushi restaurant I knew he would love. He didn't offer to buy me a new dryer when I discussed how I would like to have a newer energy efficient one, but found coupons for Lowe's appliances and offered (almost hinting I think) to go with me, but I told him I didn't need a new one, just WANTED a better one so it will have to wait until I find a job.
I just don't know if this last conversation we had surrounding child support had anything to do with how he is feeling about me. Guys, does your blood boil having to pay child support if the other parent is using it for the right reasons as far as you know?
Mayb I did read too much into the relationship... he brought me small gifts to say he is thinking of me, gave me his swimmers's manual from his lifeguard days as I was learning to swim (showed he cared I thought), introduced me to his co-workers (isn't that a sign of respect?), pointed out his church to me, shared his dream home with me,...
I just wish I could put a finger on it considering he is the first guy I dated since my divorce. if anything at all, it could be Dating 101 for me.
To offer you 1 response to your follow-on question about "boiling blood'.... When we were separated, I happily gave my stbx $672 for CS & SM [combined] every other Friday without the need of a court order. It wasn't enough [according to stbx] and HER blood boiled because 100% of take-home pay no longer went to the joint checking account.
At the same time I gave my 18 y.o. daughter $50 bi-weekly just so she wouldn't trigger her mom every other day.
supporting your kids & their mom isn't an issue for a good man. If this guy appears bitter about it. RED FLAG move on.

p.s. I bought her a new dryer while we were separated.
Maybe it's time to walk away from this one before you get hurt. Just a suggestion.
I should and will, just haven't come to that yet.
