Do posts or topics get removed from here?
- the person who created the thread requests it to be closed
- there is a violation of DS's Rules of the Road
- Someone has posted personal information to the thread. If the original thread has personal info, the thread usually gets closed. If there is personal information in one of the responses, then that individual response is usually removed.
- There is dissention, fighting or hate in a post. (usually this type of post will just me closed)
- Someone posts commerical information trying to sell something or get people to use there services or website
Administrators are the only ones who can remove posts. CL's are not administrators and can not remove a post or comment to a thread. Administrators usually only know to remove posts / comments because someone has reported the thread/comment to the admins via the abuse or feeback form.
Niether an Admin nor a CL will close a post because they feel like it. Usually it is at the request of a member or the post is obviously someone trying to sell something or get survey information.
