Breakups & Divorce Support Group
Just broke up with someone or in the midst of a difficult divorce? Breaking up is difficult no matter what the circumstances are. They say that time heals all wounds, but sometimes a listening ear or a hug can work wonders for the heart. Whether you need a place to vent, someone to hold you to No Contact, or need advice about what to do, we're here to help.
If dropping off your daughter for visits makes you uncomfortable, perhaps a friend or relative could do it.
I hope you are able to continue your counseling--it does make a world of difference. And please reach out to friends on weekends--even if it's just to get together for coffee or dinner or a movie. It's important to establish these new routines.
Sending hugs!!!
I just had to add my 2 bits-----the people I have known in my life that spent their lives together did NOT or ever hang all over each other, even when they first got together. It is ALL for Show, for your benefit, to upset you. It means NOTHING else. That is usually done by the teenagers who have no idea what love is. They are just marking their territory, and they may be broke up by tomorrow.
I think you were absolutely perfect!!!! LOL

I know the best thing for me was when I started putting the kids bags on the porch, their dad texts when he is in the driveway and they go out to him.
He will now put their bags on porch at drop off and they let themselves in
So much easier when he no longer rang the doorbell and we had to have a mini conversation.
As for competitions, my best advice is to avoid him until it no longer hurts.
I wouldn't have believed it but I can now stand with the father of my children at an event and it doesn't bother me. I have even had a short conversation with his gf and not resorted to tears in the car.
They were our forever and always, but that dream has changed, it takes a while but your dreams will change and you will see the alternative.
